COURSE

Sacramento Sheriff’s Training Academy & American River Parkway
1000 Riverwalk Way, Carmichael Ca, 95608

Runs, Walk, and Kids races will start in front of the K9 Training field and head out onto the levee behind the Sheriff’s Training Academy. The 5K runs will continue into William Pond Park, and then onto the American River Bike trail.  All runs and walk will finishing up in front of the K9 Training Field. The course is a fast
flat loop course.

RACE TIMING

Capital Road Race Management will provide ChampionChip Timing. All participants are responsible for returning their chip at the conclusion of the race. If for some reason your chip is not returned on race day, please use the envelope provided to mail it back.

PRE-PACKET PICKUP

Fleet Feet Fair Oaks-8128 Madison Avenue (Southwest corner of Madison Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard) You can also register for the event on pre packet pick up.

RACE DAY TIMES

Race Day Registration starting at 7:00AM

Race Time 8:00AM

The kid’s races will start at 8AM, with the 5K run & 5k run with your dog starting at approximately 8:30 (5K runners with your dog please line up at the back of the participants). The 1 mile walk with your dog will follow the start of the 5K.

AGE DIVISIONS

Male & Female – (9 Age Divisions) 12&Under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70&Over


AWARDS

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers male and female in each age bracket. Participants in the Kids races will receive a participation ribbon

COST

$25 for 5K, $20 for 1 mile walk, $10 kids races All prices are per runner. After July 31, 2011 costs for each event will raise by $5.00. All Participants will receive a t-shirt with the Kaleo’s 5k logo on it

DIRECTIONS

From Highway 50 exit onto Watt Avenue and proceed north across the river. Shortly after crossing over the river turn onto American River Drive from Watt Avenue. Proceed eastbound on American River Drive to Sandbar Circle. Turn right (south) onto Sandbar Circle, then left onto Riverwalk Way and proceed through the gates into the Sheriff’s Academy

From Highway 80 exit onto Arden Way and proceed east. Cross over Arden Way and turn right (south) onto Kingsford Drive. Continue south on Kingsford drive and turn left (east) onto American River Drive. Turn right (south) onto Sandbar Circle, then left onto Riverwalk Way and proceed through the gates into the Sheriff’s Academy

PARKING

There will be free parking inside of the Sheriff’s Academy where the event is held the day of the event. There is plenty of parking inside of the Sheriff’s Academy grounds, which will allow you to be close to your vehicle during the event. Staff will be on hand to direct you to available parking the day of the event.
